Title: Play by Play moments of HOME!

In a move few expected, the classic theme song HOME was re-released for Total Defence 2011; and brought together 39 artistes, the Singapore All Stars if u will!

U can theoritize (dunno how to spell) abt THE TIMING OF THE RELEASE OF A SONG CALLED HOME... but I am here to break the awesome moments of the MTV.. here we go! I am a sucker for Group-like All Stars songs anyway!

0:04: The first recognisable scene looks like an empty gym... but its actually an orchestra! By the way, is there a more puzzling job than a conductor? I mean, every guy in the orchestra has a musical score right? So... does anyone even need to look at the conductor while he is going into seizures?

0:12: The photoshopped words start appearing... not bad.. reminds me of the dumb 22.2.11 words that WWE did in a video hyping the 497th return of the Undertaker..

0:30: I like the wide shot of the orchestra cutting to the person playing the harp!

o:42: And the first person is........... DICK LEE!!! What we have to note about such group songs is 1) The first person is arguably the most important bcos he/she is the one who sets the tone (no pun) for the whole performance. And, 2) The first person TENDS to be someone with a unrecognisable-gender voice. Case in point, the first singer for "We are the world" was freaking Justin Biebier!! Anyway Dick does a decent job, he has the classic Dick Lee "I look as if I am smelling fresh air" face.

0:50: Kit Chan!!!! She is soooo not washed up! SHE STILL HAS IT! Very soothing and beautiful!

0:58: WHO is tat Planet of the Apes lookalike??? Who is this Man Who Sings Like He Has Throat Cancer? Let's just call him MWSLHHTC. (No disrespect, I am sure he is a legendary Ex-Rocker... at least I hope so.... but please stop smoking!)

1:04: MWSLHHTC shares the screen btw with another guy who looks like he is wearing a police uniform... fortunately he is in the same screen as MMWSLHHTC..

1:06: Taufik!! I still have your first (and only?) album! Nice gek sai style!

1:10: I have no idea who that lady is.

1:15: STEPH SUN!!!!!! Notice also, she gets the first line of the second verse... which has a slower, more emotional tempo??? And, which has the most important (propaganda) line in the whole song: "This is home, truly, where I know I must be". Well, what u expect, she is, THE BIGGEST MUSIC STAR EVER FROM SINGAPORE.

1:25: After 10 seconds of being lost in Steph Sun.. the next person has a tough act to follow... thankfully she is TANYA!!! A very under-rated musician who has never really been to big time, but I mean, she was writing songs 10 yrs before everyone in Chinese Pop started doing it.. anyway, she holds her own in terms of singing here!

1:30: OLLLLLLLLLIVIA!!!!!!! I totally forgot abt Steph and Tanya!!! Olivia is just so awesome.... singing in her Olivia style that only Olivia can sing.. from now on, this method of singing will be called THE OLIVIA!

1:35: The people's champion, Kelvin Tan!!! No disrespect, he has the most unintentionally funny line of "As my senses tell me..." And who is that next to him?

1:42: Sorry, I just hate the rap from Shiek.. if u wanna see a good rap in Group Songs.. see what Snoop Dogg and co. did in We Are The World... That was the shit... while this, is shit!

1:50: Stoppppppp the damn rap! I can't hear Jacinta singing!

1:52: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO... SHUT UP......

1:58: Someone playing the piano.. my sis says he is a legendary SG Jazz musician... yeah..

2:03: A new verse... and the first singer is JJ LIM (Second biggest star from Singapore)!!! Haha... my theory about Steph Sun sounds correct huh? Very vintage JJ LIM singing.....

2:06: Apparently this lady sang Holland Village Drama Song...

2:12: Hady aka Taufik 2.0.. U do notice that the total screen times of Hady, Taufik and Kelvin.. aka winners of 3 major singing contests... is not much more than the rap part which got 15 seconds?

2:17: This Indian lady is the one who acted in Under One Roof? No?

2:22: Nice acapela group!

2:26: That girl is cute but she doesn't even get a real line.. she was just echoing the previous line! Did I mention that the Rap got 15 seconds?

2:28: Joi Chua! Sweet voice!!!!! But I am in love with Olivia still :p

2:32: Ok 2 ladies... 1 is the one who judged Superstar.. the one who comments on costumes.. and she doesn't sing at all in her part?

2:45: Some nice scenes of modern Singapore...

2:50: AHHHHHHHH DUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!! Which part of China did they find u?? Btw... I am sorry for saying u sang like u had throat cancer last time.. ! =p

2:52: Some dude just did a hip hop free style hand move...

3:00: Nice harmonizing......

3:02: RAP AGAIN!!!!!!

3:16: Another chorus verse... and its KIT!!! There is always a totem pole, a hierachy, a pecking order, EVEN AMONG ALL STARS.

3:20: Rappingzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz in the background ..................

3:26: The recognisable stars get screen shots with fireworks!!!

3:39: Is that, JIMMY YE LIANG JUN!!!!!!????????? Oh my god!!!!!!!!!

3:45: Hey Lee Wei Song, or is it Si Song? Anyway, he's like THE songwriter of Singapore, and he is relegated to a 0.4 second appearance, with no singing, and sharing a screen with 3 people.. ???

3:50: Would it be cool if Steph Sun and JJ Lim dated???

4:00: Everyone sings on somewhere that looks like the floating platform in YOG! Great ending to a song!
