Major screwup!

I was on leave and just recovered from my illness, and decided to meet up with a new fren!

It was a rare chance in fact, so I noticed (not met) this person at a gathering earlier last year, and thru facebook, realized she was also from SSA! I proceeded to chat with her on and off, and finally, asked her out!

And I must say, it screwed up! Now, it is a fact in life that anytime a single girl agrees to go out with a single guy like in a blind date situation, its cos she doesn't mind getting to know him! And I'm not saying I like her or what, but it was really a good chance to make a good fren!

Haiz.. it just didn't click, and I think I was just stoned and off form. And I really feel bad cos I think it took a lot for her to want to come out, and she even wrote a card for me!

Hope I can make it up one day! Seriously! I never felt I owe someone so much in a long time!

IPPT!

In the second last week of the year, it was time for my IPPT to mark the end of my phase 1 RT! Well, needless to say, I thought I would fail, as I have done for the past 5 years...

But somehow, something in me just decided to go for it. And a combination of willpower, luck and strategy (Ex: NEVER do situps before chin ups) allowed me to actually be on pace to pass, if I could clear my standing broad jump and run!

Unfortunately I missed my jump by quite a bit: 9cm, but I still wanted to give the running a shot, as I found I could hit 2 min per round in the previous week, which is the average running rate to pass.

And so I tried, and altho I missed by 37 sec, I must say overall, it was A GREAT VICTORY bcos this is by far the best score I have had post ORD! And I have not been training, and was still sick 2 days ago, and yet I was just 1 or 2 steps away from passing!

Very proud of myself!



Soka 80th anniversary!

Xmas day was a big day indeed, and I spent the first half of the evening in indoor stadium watching the performances for the 80th anniversary! I was alone in fact, suprisingly, but no matter, I saw some nice singing, dancing, announcements, prize presentations, soka youth musical spinoff featuring additional adventures of Toda and Ikeda Senseis! Well deserved acknowledgements were also given to NDP and SYOG performances, and it was all good!

*The photo is the ONLY one I managed to take, before our own SSA volunteer staff told me no recordings allowed! Very dumb thing in my view if the reason is bcos "Indoor stadium events cannot take pictures" bcos, NOBODY FOLLOWS THAT RULE! Or even its a Soka rule... well, its still dumb cos, we are your members, why can't we take?

Xmas with family!

I rushed back halfway from the stadium to go to my aunt's home for the family party, and I'm glad I did, cos I managed to balance my SSA committment (although no one would know if I went or not) with my family stuff!

Although I only spent max 2 hrs there, it was really cool! Just chilling on the porch, listening to songs played from my cousin's laptop, chatting with my muscleman cousin, listening to my uncle sing, becoming a little drunk (unfortunately not the high drunk), and getting my present of a nice bag!!! Yes!!

My greatest Xmas present!

I am really pleased to receive Meijia's latest album: Star, from my office angel, ANGELine this year!! Granted, it was what I stated I wanted, but I was really pleased, and very grateful and appreciative even!

*If u add my soka fren in, Angeline is the 2nd person I am really grateful to for something this hol season! This has never happened (being extremely grateful to 2 people at 1 time and feeling I owe someone something) for as long as I remember.

Anyway, this to me, is really the definition of a gift! I mean, its only 20 bucks, and something that I could really go and buy if I wanted to. But the fact that someone made it a point to get it for me, and give it to me on a day of giving (Xmas), so that I could open the wrapper and see something I really want, THE FEELING IS REALLY GENUINE HAPPINESS.

And I must say, I was also very glad to go out that weekend and buy something that SHE ALSO WANTED. Yay!!!

The photo is outdated by the way, I regret to say I didn't take photos.. though in defense, NO ONE in the group of 9 ppl wanted to either.. LOL

Anyway, it was great to see a big group, 7 guys excluding the girlfriends, and it was just good to chit chat and catch up! We had some cool Thai food, some nice HK deserts, and then we went to play MONOPOLY CARDS at the food court!

Everyone is good, KW talking abt $, JZ talking abt monopoly cards, Matthew abt how his MOE job sucks, Piat talking about how he has 2 teabreaks a day, and totally manipulating the whole monopoly card game!

Good times.. =p

Xmas at wendy

At a nice time chilling at Wendy's place!

The food made by the girls was really great! And it was fun, sitting there, playing PS3, watching Po Tian Wang, singing KTV! Yes, yes, she has the KTV service for starhub woopie!!!!! The food was also first class man!!! Too bad we couldn't finish :(

Oh and of cos, the gift exchange! I gotta a fan, usb style, from Desmond's wife! And Desmond got my toy monkey!!! Yes yes, my special unisex gift to all, the toy monkey!! Which "no one wanted", but whatever!!!!!

Oh, and her dog, was all over the place sia! He ate everything from the food to the table cloth to the table, to the microphone.... wow!!! He also kept licking me >.<

KTV new yr with the gang

New year was spent with the gang, and its good to meet up with them! Except Marcus, whom I didn't call cos I got his tel no wrong and ended up contacting someone else all along... and Wenjie, who of cos, has gone missing for the last 2 yrs =(

Anyway, it was great, we had dinner at Delifrance at Lot 1 (Even Lot 1 was so crowded!), followed by. THE. KTV!!! Yipee!

WL brought those small light tubes and we wore bracelets and headbands with them, and we had a nice time... bad romance of cos came out, so did ppppppp-poker face!!!! And I went a bit crazy dancing and stuff.. (lucky not really caught on camera :P) Her cousin also came, and glad he enjoyed it!

Nice that I spent new yr with the gang instead of going some countdown somewhere, and squeezing with other ppl !
